Emulsifying Wax - most common emulsifier used in scrubs is emulsifying wax, or e-wax which contains properties that can attract both oil and water for example. Because emulsifiers trap oil with water, the oil penetrates the skin to add moisture. Emulsifying wax assists in improving the consistency and texture of final products without leaving a greasy film on the outer skin after application. It acts as a mild stabilizer and thickener which ultimately depends on the amount added to your recipe.
Sugar -Sugar is not only a natural ingredient but, it is mild on the skin and helps remove dead skin. Sugar also helps rejuvenate the skin by cleaning all the dirt from the skin's pores.
