Miranda started Crone by Design, in the summer of 2021 after graduating from Purdue University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies. She is married to her amazing and supportive Husband Lonnie Meyer McCarty.

She first started Crone by Design for creating custom hand embroidery pieces. An art she was taught by her Grandma when she was but eight years old. Miranda still loves going out to her Grandma’s house to show her the new pieces she is working on. One thing Grandma does not like to embroider are words and naturally, that is Miranda’s favorite!

In 2022, Miranda expanded Crone by Design to not only be about creating custom embroidery pieces but also to have an offshoot in a boutique. But not just any boutique, as Miranda loves to shop not all boutiques are curated to fit everyone. Which she is also not curating to fit everyone either but, giving the chance for everyone to be curious and explore without the shame shopping and sizes have been popularized by media to do.

With her Metaphysical Boutique, Miranda is curating a shop that reaches many people needs in one store. That you can explore your spirituality, witchyness, and to be open to what the world might be telling you.
